A Day on the Green – Duncan & Ebbett Golf Open at Tieke Golf Estate
The night before delivered the sound of roaring winds and relentless rain—conditions that might have made even the most committed golfers think twice. A grey and brooding sky greeted us at dawn, casting doubt over the day ahead.
But as we arrived, bleary-eyed but hopeful, Richard Ellis—Director of Golf at the remarkable Tieke Golf Estate—met us with calm assurance: “All will be well.” And it was. The weather may have threatened, but it did not win.
What followed was a day defined by camaraderie, spirited competition, and the unmistakable refinement of the Duncan & Ebbett Golf Open. New connections were made, familiar ones rekindled, and many a fine round played under clearing skies.
We were proud to once again partner with Tieke Golf Estate to host this annual event. With 79 guest players in attendance, the day began with a warm welcome and the excellent hospitality of the Tieke Bistro & Bar.

- Shotgun Start: While many of our regulars returned, it was a pleasure to welcome several first-time players to the stunning riverbed course at Tieke. The estate’s team presented the course in immaculate condition—a testament to their passion and professionalism.
- Prestige Collision Repairs: Our trusted Jaguar Land Rover-approved panel and paint specialists generously provided every player with a bespoke shoe bag. We sincerely thank Jade and Ian for their ongoing partnership and support.
- Culinary Excellence: After the final putts dropped, guests were treated to superb canapés and walk-and-fork fare crafted by the Tieke Bistro team—an elegant end to a remarkable day.
