Ebbett The Base Coming Soon to Hamilton
Ebbett Automotive is proud to announce the opening of a new concept store in Te Rapa, Hamilton, set to open mid-September 2025. Located at The Base, between Heathcote Appliances and the Mitre 10 building, this new site will introduce three exciting additions to the Ebbett brand family: Geely, Farizon and ZEEKR.
“Choosing to represent a brand is not a decision we make lightly,” says Richard van den Engel, Executive Director of Ebbett Automotive. “There are many new entrants to the New Zealand market, but we have chosen to represent Geely, Farizon and ZEEKR because of their proven quality, strong global reputation and the technology behind them. We will be representing Geely from a concept store within The Base shopping complex, less than a kilometre from our existing Hamilton dealerships in Te Rapa. Customers will be treated to a full-service, convenient and premium retail experience.”
Geely, Farizon and ZEEKR are part of the Geely Holding Group, which also includes Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, as well as significant investments in Daimler and Aston Martin. Ebbett is already proud to represent both Volvo and Polestar in the Waikato, and the addition of these three brands further strengthens this connection.
Geely - Smart, Stylish SUVs and Utes
Retail sales will begin with the Geely EX5, a luxurious battery-electric SUV offering up to 430km WLTP range, fast charging from 30–80% in just 20 minutes and 0–100km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds.
Joining the lineup is the Geely Riddara RD6, an all-new battery-electric ute that seamlessly blends the comfort and dynamics of an SUV with the robust versatility of a traditional ute.
Geely will offer a well-rounded SUV lineup tailored to New Zealand drivers, spanning hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric (BEV) powertrains. With medium BEV and PHEV SUVs and the electric ute already available in New Zealand, the brand will continue to expand its model range in the coming years.
Farizon - Smarter Solutions for Business
Farizon, Geely’s commercial NEV brand, brings smart, robust electric vans designed to help businesses decarbonise their fleets. The Farizon SuperVAN (SV) is a purpose-built commercial electric van delivering up to 376km WLTP range. Whether you are in logistics, trades or fleet operations, this van is built to deliver.
ZEEKR - Premium Electric Performance
