Kia introduces complimentary Service Plan across range*, redefining value for New Zealand new car buyers.
- Kia to introduce new, complimentary three-year/ 45,000km and/or four-year/ 40,000km Service Plans across the range*
- Provides greater certainty around running costs
- A natural progression from the earlier announced EV3 and EV5 offer, bringing value to all new vehicle buyers’ needs.
- Applicable to new car purchases* from April 1, 2026 and available throughout Q2
Following Kia’s recent introduction of the country’s best EV ownership offer, the marque has announced a new complimentary Service Plan programme.
Available across the model range (excluding Carnival), the initiative is designed to make owning a Kia even easier and more straightforward.
“It’s a natural progression for us following our earlier EV announcement. We want to provide a value-add proposition which enhances all new Kia driver's overall ownership experience and provide a greater certainty around running costs,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.
“A Service Plan offers predictability, protection and convenience - there are no surprise costs, your new vehicle receives Factory Scheduled maintenance at an authorised Kia dealership and delivers the convenience of knowing everything is taken care of from a servicing perspective.
“It instills a sense of confidence and is another reason for customers to choose a Kia, as it follows the customer experience ethos of making Kia ownership even more enjoyable and reinforces the brand’s leadership position when it comes to trust and credibility.”
Other key reasons why a Service Plan is an attractive addition include:
- Cost certainty as you don’t pay for servicing for three-years, protecting you from inflation or rising labour rates
- Convenience and simplicity, as servicing is pre-arranged and structured

Service Plan Structure:
- Three-Year/ 45,000km Plan applies to: EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, Seltos and Tasman
- Four-Year/ 40,000km Plan applies to: Stonic, Sportage and Sorento

The new initiative follows last week’s announcement of a special offer available on new EV3 and EV5 which features an industry-leading three-years free motoring^ consisting of Kia NZ paying on-road costs and three-year (45,000km) road-user charges, plus three-year charging fees ($1,500) all supported by a complimentary three-year/ 45,000km Service Plan.
