NZ BYD Shark 6 Earns Five Star ANCAP Safety Rating
- Recently launched BYD SHARK 6 plug in DMO hybrid, has received the top 5-star safety ratings in the latest round of the ANCAP Safety (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) testing standards

BYD New Zealand is pleased to announce the recently launched, award winning model, the SHARK 6, has been presented the highest safety rating of 5 stars from ANCAP Safety today, scoring 85% for Adult Occupant Protection, 95% Child Occupant Protection, 74% Pedestrian/Vulnerable Road User Protection and 86% Safety Assist.
The BYD SHARK 6 is equipped with an extensive range of standard safety features including dual frontal airbags, side chest and side head-protecting airbags. It also features a centre airbag designed to protect the front-seat occupants in side-impact crashes.
