One such organisation is Te Puia, Rotorua’s world-renowned cultural and geothermal destination, which has recently taken significant steps in its sustainability journey by integrating Kia electric vehicles (EVs) into its operations.
Over the past two months, Te Puia has added several Kia EVs to its fleet — a move that aligns with their commitment to kaitiakitanga (guardianship) and preserving the natural environment for generations to come.
This partnership marks a meaningful alignment of values. As a place that celebrates Māori culture, geothermal wonders, and traditional arts through the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, Te Puia welcomes visitors from all over the world. Reducing their environmental impact is a natural step forward in their mission to honour and protect the land they share with others.
